Vegetarian Star

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is out in theatres this Friday.

Based on the novel by Stephen Chbosky, Perks is a classic tale of adolescents growing up starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller as main characters.

Mae Whitman plays Mary Elizabeth, described as a, “smart-talking vegetarian feminist with a tattoo, a belly button ring and a snobbish preference for indie girl bands.”

Parenthood‘s Mae Whitman has been chosen to star with Emma Watson in a new film about a 15-year old kid struggling with the ups and downs of adolescence, including his girlfriend issues with Watson.

Whitman will play a tattooed vegetarian girlfriend of the 15-year old boy in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
