Meatless Monday Recipe–Olivia Wilde’s Vegan Bolognese
Written by Vegetarian Star on November 10th, 2014 in Actresses, Food & Drink, Meatless Monday Recipe, Recipes.
Want the taste of classic Italian food without the meat and cheese?
Olivia Wilde‘s Vegan Bolognese may satisfy those pasta cravings.
The actress who has been a vegetarian since her teens and an on/off flexible vegan in recent years, has a version of a traditional spaghetti dish that will leave any pasta lover wondering why there was ever a need forĀ the “beef” in bolognese.
Wilde’s bolognese uses two plants to replace the meaty flavor in the recipe.
Mushrooms provide a hearty texture to the dish while crumbled tempeh adds loads of protein and iron.
Combine this with fresh vegetables like zucchini, carrot and eggplants and you’ll get a dish that vegan and omnivorous fans will enjoy.
This dish serves four and takes approximately 60 minutes to prepare.

I think it’s great that for once celebrity stories are about a sensible diet rather than a fad diet. It’s good to know that there are celebs out there who believe in eating healthy, rather than the stories you hear in the press about them only eating cabbage soup! It is a much better promotion of healthy eating.
