Nurse Jackie is lending her care to a few four legged farmed patients.
In a letter to New Jersey officials, Edie Falco joins several other celebrities in the fight for banning the confinement of pigs in crates, a move most residents in the state agree on.
“I spent many years in New Jersey filming my show The Sopranos,” Falco writes. “New Jersey citizens were by far the most welcoming, kind, and compassionate folks so it is no surprise that more than 90 percent of them are against unnecessary cruelty to animals. In this second time around, I sincerely hope you sign the gestation crate ban without delay.”
Along with the residents of New Jersey, several other stars, including Martha Stewart and Danny Devito, feel similar to Falco and have urged Governor Christie to sign bill S. 998 into law by November 30.
