Meagan Duhamel Green Smoothie Keeps Her Skating Positively

Figure skater Meagan Duhamel has her eye on the 2014 Olympics.
She’s already picked up medals in competitions like the World Championships, Four Continents and Skate Canada.
Her vegan diet makes it a lot easier for her partner to toss her in the air, but that’s not the only benefit from eating plant-based meals like her morning green breakfast smoothie.
Duhamel told Of Course Vegan:
“It affects my skating in a positive way. I have more energy for training because my body is fuelled with such clean foods. I also don’t have to worry about watching my weight, because since following a vegan diet my body has settled at it’s ideal weight. I find that since becoming a vegan I have become stronger and have better endurance as well.”
Even if a triple lutz is not one of your daily goals, breakfast that’s full of nutrients like Duhamel’s green smoothie can still help you speed to the championship at work, school or as a stay at home parent.
Her perfect 10 drink consists of “2 handfuls of spinach, 1 cup of coconut milk, 1 mango and half an avocado.”
