Jane Lynch will co-host the second installment of Shelter Me, a PBS series on pet adoption. The series began in April and highlights different pets that found their way into the homes of two-legged families.
Instead of sharing the screen with another actor, the Glee coach will work alongside her dog Olivia to help educate viewers on the importance of seeking pets from shelters.
Lynch welcomed Olivia into her life many years after filming Best in Show. She then went on to expand the family with two additional dogs Georgie and Frances and cats Frisky and Jiggles.
Episode 2 of Shelter Me, Shelter Me: Let’s Go Home, will feature several pet adoption success stories such as pets who comfort the sick in hospitals and brave dogs who assist emergency personnel in search and rescue and disaster situations like Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Superstorm Sandy and the Joplin tornado.
The segment will air across the country on PBS stations all summer long.
