Minnie Driver is set to star in an NBC Adaptation of About A Boy, a novel by Nick Hornsby.
A film based on the book was created in 2002, featuring Toni Collette and Hugh Grant.
The story follows a live-for-himself bachelor who’s life is changed when he meets Marcus, a young boy living with his eccentric mother.
Driver will play the mother who has moved to San Francisco after a recent in hopes of starting a new life for both herself and her son.
Maybe a new diet will also help her recover, as she is described as being in a stage of “vegan throwback hippie-ness,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
A plant-based diet heals the heart, whether it’s the physical or emotion one, so this hippy, vegan mom is sure to find herself in this upcoming comedy.
