Staples Center has been named the most vegetarian-friendly NBA arena by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Whether you’re rooting for the Lakers or the Clippers, as long as you’re rooting for veggies, you won’t lose.
Vegan sloppy Joes, a veggie burger, vegan sushi, a grilled veggie sandwich and hummus and pita all helped the center score a slam dunk for vegetarian basketball lovers.
Several other arenas are offering similarly delicious food to snack on during halftime.
Air Canada Centre, which hosts the only international NBA team, offers a menu to match the diversity of the world. Opt for a Mexican burrito, a Middle Eastern hummus dish or an Indian “Bollywood veggie dog” with potatoes, tamarind ketchup, papadum and mint chutney. In certain areas, there is also vegetable sushi and Vietnamese summer rolls to choose from.
PETA also names some honorable mentions that didn’t make the top 10, but still have a lot of veggie options to offer fans.
