Quantcast Vegetarian StarManti Te’o PETA Ad Shows Fake Meat Just As Good As Fake Girls

Manti Te'o

Manti Te’o thought he had a real girlfriend.

And most meat eaters will think they’re biting into the real thing if they sample any numerous faux beef or chicken products on the market.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has once again successfully turned a high profile news controversy into witty pro-vegetarian propaganda.

“Sometimes faking it is better,” reads the ad that directs viewers to go to PETA’s site for vegetarian recipes.

“Manti Te’o may have been buffaloed by a fake girlfriend, but sometimes “fake” is actually better,” writes PETA on its blog. “That’s why PETA created this billboard urging football fans to avoid unnecessary roughness to chickens on Super Bowl Sunday by intentionally grounding real chicken wings and opting for play-action fake fowl instead.”

The group has published its set of vegetarian football recipes.

Fake meaty dishes like spicy buffalo cauliflower wings, vegan sliders or vegan tofu chicken patties are always guaranteed to score real touchdowns with fans at any tailgate party.
