Kara Lawson Shares Slam Dunk Vegan Recipes

Kara Lawson, WNBA star for Connecticut Sun, shared a few of her three-pointer vegan recipes and an interview with SheKnows.
Lawson went vegetarian in 2011 and after a few months cut out dairy and all other animal products.
She and her husband work as a team–he often does meal planning and preparation while she scouts out all the natural foods stores and shops in the area.
‘When I’m on the road the first thing I do is look for nearby grocery stores and markets,” Lawson said. “Regular fast food places and restaurants don’t usually cater to my diet, so I have to find places that will work for me. We also do a lot of prep ahead of time, making sure I have plenty of meals and snacks that are convenient for me to grab when I’m on the go and in between games or practices.”
Her and hubby maintain a website, Lawson on Wellness, where they share some of Kara’s favorite recipes complete with great color photos.
Check out a few of Kara’s favorite dishes–Cheesy zucchini with marinara sauce and Fantastic kale salad, which include a vegan nut cheese and lemon tahini dressing recipe at SheKnows.
