Justin Bieber Slammed For Hamster Giveaway

Justin Bieber first gives up his vegan diet and now he’s giving out hamsters to strangers?
The R&B teen hearthrob was criticized for handing what was formerly his pet to a a young girl at a music event in Atlanta.
According to Female First, Bieber told the young girl to take care of his pet Pac, which he gave to her in a cage.
A spokesperson for the California Hamster Association issued a statement to TMZ:
“(Hamsters) often succumb quickly to illness and death (when faced with) sudden environmental change… The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom”.
The hamster group has a webpage filled with facts and advice on appropriately caring for the animals, including feeding, housing and toys.
Rockstars aren’t necessarily the recommended vendor, but it does advise staying away from pet stores when buying them, feeding lots of fruits and vegetables and using edible oils like olive to keep their wheels from squeaking.
