PETA might not have agreed with the Philadelphia Eagles’ decision to give a contract to Michael Vick two years ago, but it does acknowledge that Lincoln Financial Field has some of the best vegetarian and vegan options available to fans who attend home games.
The Eagles won the #1 spot on the animal rights group’s “Top 5 Vegetarian-Friendly Stadiums 2012.”
“The Eagles battle for the top spot in the always-tough NFC East, Philly fans can take pride in the fact that Lincoln Financial Field tops PETA’s list of vegetarian-friendly stadiums for the third year in a row, thanks to its awesome array of meat-free options, which include a mock-steak sandwich, a “chicken-steak” sandwich, a seitan brisket, and veggie burgers and dogs,” writes PETA on its blog.
Other NFL stadiums made the cut with options like blackbean burgers, grilled portobello burgers, faux sloppy joes and veggie chili.
