James Cameron

James Cameron, director known for blockbuster hits such as Titanic, Avatar, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Aliens, has not only recently become a vegan, he’s recruited his entire family to do so.

Some family members were less willing recruits than others. Specifically the underage ones.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Cameron says he thinks his children are just too young to grasp the concept of the moral dilemma of eating animals. Or it could be that they’re craving hamburgers too much.

“No, of course not, the kids want hamburgers and Coke because they’re kids,” he said. “But all of human consciousness is five years old emotionally. It’s not a requirement to eat animals, we just choose to do it, so it becomes a moral choice and one that is having a huge impact on the planet, using up resources and destroying the biosphere.”

Cameron’s children range from five to twenty-three.

When animal suffering, planet destruction and health can’t motivate someone, it always helps to offer something tasty at every meal!

If you have children like Cameron’s, try a variety of different veggie burgers with baked or sweet potato fries until one patty hits the right spot. And don’t pack the same peanut butte and jelly sandwich for lunch everyday. Experiment with different ideas like tofu egg salad in a pita pocket or vegan cream cheese and jelly or avocado on mashed crackers.
