The China Study was a favorite among Huffington Post readers in a poll on healthy lifestyle books. Members of the Huffpost Healthy Living Community voted this book on how diet is closely linked to the “diseases of affluence” as a favorite among 50.
“All types of books can change our lives, but health books have a potent ability to influence our lifestyle habits,” the blog writes.
“If you’ve read Eat This, Not That! by David Zinczenko, you might be prone to comparing caloric content from one restaurant to the next. Perhaps after reading Crazy Sexy Life, you bought a juicer for the first time, inspired by Kris Carr’s healthy liquid green habits.”
Other best-selling books that promote a plant-based lifestyle also proved to be popular.
The Kind Diet, Crazy Sexy Diet and Forks Over Knives all made the cut.
