Sherlyn Chopra Goes From PETA To Playboy

Sherlyn Chopra, Bollywood actress who has worked with the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, will be baring a lot more than she did in her PETA India “Wings and Chains Belong in the Bedroom, Not in the Circus” ad.
Chopra has signed on to be the first Indian woman to pose nude for Playboy.
Expect to see Chopra in the November issue, but don’t look for a copy in India, where the magazine is illegal.
Like many PETA campaigns, the Playboy shoot has already gotten criticism from those opposed to what they feel is the objectification of women.
Media commentator Gayatri Sankar was cited by the New York Daily News: “At a time when innocent women across the nation from Gujarat to Guwahati have been subjected to sexual abuse and humiliation, one wonders if Sherlyn Chopra’s pictures wound a woman’s integrity?”
Like any young woman getting naked in front of millions of horny men, Chopra is hesitant to tell her family.
“I think I will visit her and tell her that she has to accept me the way I am.” Taking to Twitter she paid tribute to her late father and her conviction he would be proud of her decision. However, she later conceded he may “not approve” but asserted: “I’m just being myself.”
Everyone knows people read Playboy for the articles anyway. That’s why we’re certain there will be a nice, long story next to her spread explaining the sexiness of a plant-based diet.
