Rachael Ray “Book Of Burger” Adds Vegetarian Burger Touch

Rachael Ray has published a new cookbook that sounds like a vegetarian nightmare, but contains a few meatless recipes plus the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen.
The Book of Burger contains everything that it suggests, but with several vegetarian burger recipes.
Portobello Burgers with Spinach Pesto, Mediterranean Veggie Burgers and Falafel Burgers all provide a nice way to tempt the flexitarian in your household to give peas a chance.
And with interesting descriptions of non-vegetarian burgers containing toppings like nachos, onion rings, squash and Indian spices, it may be the perfect challenge for those that enjoy veganizing things, such as the Shannons did with the Betty Crocker cookbook.
Ray is no stranger to vegetarian cuisine and even conducted a veggie burger taste test, in which the following store brand burgers came out on top.
- Best Veggie Medley: Lightlife Light Burgers-Veggie
- Best Mushroom: Gardenburger Portabella
- Best Original: Amy’s All American Veggie Burger
- Best Flavored: Boca Cheeseburger
- Best Black Bean: Morningstar Farms Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burger
