Carrie Underwood “Glamour”–She’s “Blown Away” By Grocery Shopping
Written by Vegetarian Star on May 2nd, 2012 in Female Singers, Food & Drink.
Carrie Underwood is gracing the June 2012 cover of Glamour magazine where inside she reveals her preference to shop for her own food versus having someone cook for her.
Underwood prefers home-cooked meals to catered ones because she knows what’s in the food.
Ah, a vegan’s main mission–verifying the source of ingredients in a product.
“I love to be at the grocery store,” Underwood, 29, tells Glamour. “It makes me happy to have a full fridge and a full pantry.”
“It would be very easy to just go eat that [unhealthy catered food] all the time, but if I don’t know what’s in it, I don’t eat it,” Carrie said. “That’s my rule.”
Vegetarians and vegans that prefer the fridge and pantry meal experience may be helped by The Ultimate Vegetarian Shopping List, compliments of grocerylists.org.
The list contains items for vegetarian and vegan customers and you’ll find many more items to check off when you go shopping than the stereotypical veggie foods like beans and rice.
The Ultimate Vegetarian Shopping List lists staples like soy butter, tofu, tempeh, vegetable broth, sesame oil, wheat gluten, grains, beans, nuts, veggie meats and more.
