Iowa Representative King Wants Vegetarians Out Of The Closet (Video)

Iowa Republican representative Steve King thinks if you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, it’s time to come out of the closet.
King was present at a hearing that discussed issues pertinent to the Department of Agriculture and animal husbandry when he noticed there were several animal welfare and animal rights groups present.
King insisted these people weren’t really there to discuss how to better the agricultural system by cleaning up big farms, improving living conditions for animals and making the food supply safer but were on a secret mission to get rid of the system altogether. Because that will make it easier to get a lentil burger at McDonald’s.
Well, duh! But does that mean they should be forced to confess to the vegaphobes? Here’s how King coerced the veggies to admit what really goes on in their mouths behind closed doors.
KING: I’m here to tell you I’m a committed carnivore. I like meat. I sit on the Ag Committee and we had a hearing before the Ag Committee when we invited in the president of the Humane Society of the United States, HSUS, President Wayne Pacelle. And we had one or two other witnesses from the anti-meat crowd or anti-animal husbandry crowd. PETA was there and one other animal activist group. So we just asked them, under oath, “are you a vegetarian?” And they confessed they were vegetarians, all of them. Well there they are with an agenda for our diets.
King is so brilliant, he has invented a new form of vegetarianism, one in which he states makes him a vegetarian as well because he consumes, “concentrated, recycled and enhanced vegetables in the form of meat.”
