Chicago Cubs’ Fans Treated With Vegan Sloppy Janes

If you avoid animal products and still plan to take yourself out to the ballgame, you’ll be happy to learn that one major league ballpark has updated its menu so you can buy more than peanuts and Crackerjacks.
Because those get old really fast, leaving you with no motivation to cheer and only to throw them at the opponent’s fans.
Wrigley Field, home to the Chicago Cubs, made PETA’s top vegetarian-friendly ballparks for the first time a couple of years ago. Refreshment officials at the park had no intention to rest on their laurels and have unveiled another veggie item that’s sure to score a home run.
Chicago area Levy Restaurants has placed The Sloppy Jane on the Cubs’ menu. It’s a vegan sandwich filled with tempeh, peppers and onions, with molasses and brown sugar barbecue sauce, served on a vegan wheat or white bun.
The Sloppy Jane will be available at both Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Field. And so will those peanut things that are also vegan, but more fun to throw at the opponent’s fans than eat.
