Nestea Brews Animal Tested Tea And More Cruelty-Free Options

Lipton finally agreed to stop animal testing in an attempt to prove its product cured human health problems. Now another major tea company has been discovered to conduct similar tests that are not required by any regulatory authorities to prove the tea’s safety.
Not to mention it would probably be a lot easier and effective to have people drink bottles of its product to see if they got better.
Brace yourself for the details of what Nestea puts mice through that’s even worse than drinking its flavorless diet Green Tea.
- Mice bred to suffer from brain dysfunction and rapid aging were fed green-tea extracts and then locked in a dark chamber, only to receive painful electric shocks to their feet; the mice were then killed.
- Mice bred to suffer from muscle degeneration were fed green-tea extracts, after which experimenters cut open the animals’ leg muscles and then decapitated them.
- Experimenters injected toxic chemicals into mice to destroy insulin-producing cells, causing the animals to develop diabetes. After this cruel procedure, the mice were force-fed tea extracts and then killed.
- Rats made to suffer from high fat and cholesterol levels were forced to consume tea extracts through a tube that was forced down their throats; the rats were then killed and dissected.
As expected, PETA, the same group that convinced Lipton to stop similar tests, has launched a campaign to reach out to Nestea officials to convince them to abandon these practices.
And after signing your name to a letter to be delivered to Nestea, why not have a sip of several other cruelty-free teas during these hot summer days like Lipton, Arizona, Snapple, Honest Tea, Tazo, Twinings, Stash Tea, Celestial Seasonings and Luzianne Tea.
