So you’ve gobble up some brown rice and veggies and a side salad, both topped with the anything but mild flavored Sriracha. How about a hot and spicy donut for dessert seasoned with the same sauce?
Diggity Doughnuts, a food truck serving vegan donuts, carries a peanut butter and sriracha doughnut that is being eyed by producers of the Food Network show Heat Seekers.
Beginning July 2011, Heat Seekers hosts Aaron Sanchez and Roger Mooking will scout the country looking for the hottest and spiciest foods.
Ambergre Sloan, owner of Diggity Doughnuts said she regularly uses Sriracha and wanted to find some use for it in her vegan goodies.
“I’m obsessed with it,” Sloan said. “I had to find some way to work it into my doughnuts.”
In addition to her donut with a kick, Sloan sells key lime pie and coconut curry flavored desserts from the Charleston, South Carolina based truck.
