PETCO has unveiled several items in its Planet PETCO line that offers eco-friendly pet furniture, leashes, toys and grooming supplies.
The Planet PETCO line is part of 1% For The Planet, meaning it pledges to donate 1% of all sales from Planet PETCO products to environmental causes.
Seen here is the Planet PETCO Natural Wood Dog Crate. The crate is crafted from Hevea wood, a more sustainable alternative to forest wood.
For cat lovers, there are items like the Planet PETCO Paper Cat Litter, made from 95% post-consumer paper, newspapers and magazines and is said to be three times as absorbent as clay.
Pet toys dyed with non-toxic vegetable dyes, recycled cotton and recycled polyester collars and leashes and shampoo and deodorizers free from parabens and other environmentally unfriendly chemicals are also available.
