Kareena Kapoor Won’t Eat Eggs On Film Because Of Vegetarian Diet

Kareena Kapoor is one of those hot Bollywood actresses that won’t eat anything on screen she wouldn’t off.
Kapoor plays a hairstylist in the film Short Term Shaadi, and she was all set to shoot a breakfast scene in a cafe in the United States when she discovered the producers wanted her to eat pancakes with eggs.
When it was time for Kapoor to eat, she “pleaded, argued and eventually threw a tantrum” until the director ordered some flap jacks minus the eggs, according to Showbiz Spy.
Which isn’t hard, considering eggs do nothing a little baking powder, commercial egg replacer, applesauce, banana or any other substitute can’t do.
Kapoor, like many Indians, follows a lacto-vegetarian diet, which means she finds dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, cream and kefir acceptable, but eggs are a no-no. It’s also preferrable that cheese is made from non-animal rennet and gelatin is also avoided.
Actors and actresses having food modified on screen isn’t unheard of. Kal Penn devoured veggie burgers when he and Harold finally made it to White Castle in Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. And Lake Bell ate faux ham crafted from soybeans in Pride and Glory.
