Update: The winning bid for Bieber’s hair was $40, 668! And all of it goes to The Gentle Barn!
Haters of the Bieber bang are happy now that teen hearthrob Justin Bieber has parted ways with some of his locks.
Ellen DeGeneres has had a huge hair crush on this guy, and has Tweeted in the past that she wanted a few locks.
Her wish was granted. And now you can bid on this piece of furry creature-esque memorabilia contained in a box signed by Bieber himself on ebay to help sanctuary animals.
DeGeneres has discussed her support for The Gentle Barn, a home to over 120 rescued animals. The Gentle Barn extends its compassion to humans as well. It regularly works with at-risk, inner city children and kids with mental health problems, allowing them to interact with the animals for both empowerment and healing.
All proceeds from the auction benefit The Gentle Barn and so far, there’s more than just a little gentle pocket change going to the organization.
As of March 1, 2011, Bieb’s hair is going for $12,800!
Auction ends March 2nd, when one hormonal teenage girl has convinced her father to empty his 401K.
