Waka Flocka Flame Is Leather-Free Too

Waka Flocka Flame plans to show the world he’s not down with fur once his PETA “Ink Not Mink” anti-fur ad is unveiled.
As it turns out, Waka always wears his own skin. This guy is fur AND leather free.
From Sohh:
“He wasn’t shy about agreeing to go naked to bring attention to the fur industry,” Cho revealed in an interview. “We’re all huge fans of his music — I did some research online and I didn’t see any photos of him wearing fur. PETA reached out to him with a request to start our ‘Ink Not Mink’ campaign, and come to find out, Waka doesn’t even wear leather.”
Leather in the U.S. is often imported from countries where there are little or no animal welfare laws. Cows slaughtered for meat, worn-out dairy cows that no longer produce milk and veal calves suffer in conditions of confinement and overcrowding in large scale farms.
People often complain that leather in clothing, especially shoes, belts and purses, is everywhere and hard to avoid.
However, there are over 100 major retailers listed in PETA’s Cruelty Free shopping guide that offer faux leather, faux fur and synthetic materials in a variety of fashion options like shoes, clothing, sporting goods and luggage.
Some big retail names listed on the list include New Balance, Kmart, Target, Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Timberland and Yamaha Motor Corporation.
