Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian are reported to be fans of eco-friendly Ecoya Candles and are said to be filling their hotel rooms with them as they film for their new show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which is set to debut on E! in January 2011.
Ecoya candles are all hand-made from soy wax versus the traditional petroleum based paraffin. So what? Does that mean it will hurt less when Kim accidentally spills wax on her bosom? No, but buying soy candles is the better choice to avoiding hurting your health and the environment and you might just help a local farmer in the process.
Find out why after the jump.
Soot from paraffin candles contains potential carcinogens like toluene and benzene.
Soy, on the other hand, is a renewable resource that burns cleaner and produces 90% less soot than paraffin.
Did you also know that the United States is the number one producer of soy in the world? By buying soy candles, especially locally produced or regionally closer produced soy candles, you help support small, local farmers and the economy.
Soy candles burn at least as long or longer than paraffin, but give off less heat. So during a romantic evening, the temperature of the room only gets hotter via the action of you and your date.
