Heather Mills Redwood Whole Food Now Kosher Certified
Written by Vegetarian Star on July 5th, 2010 in Business, Food & Drink.
Heather Mills‘ line of faux meat and cheese products, Redwood Whole Food, may already be vegetarian, vegan, and cruelty-free. Now, Mills’ can add certified kosher to the list of Redwood bonuses.
The company that was recently named the Most Ethical, secured the certification from Manchester Beth Din, one of the leading Kosher certification agencies in Europe.
“We sought certification because we wanted our vegan foods to be available to everyone, whatever their faith,” Mills said.
The process took almost a year to complete, and it’s believed that Redwood is the first UK vegetarian and vegan foods company to obtain such a certification.
Redwood’s faux chicken, fish, turkey, cheese and other products will be distributed at Kosher shops by Eliko Food Distributors.
