Camilla, Duchess Of Cornwall Praises Seasonal British Produce
Written by Vegetarian Star on April 23rd, 2010 in Food & Drink.
British food dull and boring?
Ha!
That’s not what the Duchess of Cornwall thinks.
At an event to launch British Food Fortnight, an campaign meant to highlight British producers, Camilla said the stereotypes of British food being “dull, turgid and over-boiled” were “utter rubbish”.
Camilla said she loved food that “followed the seasons”, not the “whims” of “multinational food conglomerates”.
It must be a family affair, as Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales, supports eating locally, organic grown produce too.
Information about the seasonal produce available in different areas of Britain, as well as advice for starting your own garden, can be found on the British Fortnight website.
