NBC “Chuck” Joshua Gomez Likes A Microwave Veggie Burger
Written by Vegetarian Star on February 28th, 2010 in Actors, Food & Drink.
Joshua Gomez may not have all the classified government information his character’s co-worker Chuck (Zachary Levi) has on the NBC television series Chuck, but he does have some inside info on making a great tasting meat-free meal.
Gomez says in the March 2010 issue of Vegetarian Times he is a mostly “veggie-burger-in-the-microwave kind of guy”, but he’s also known to whip up a curry every now and then.
If only everyone could download the secret to setting the timer so the veggie burger comes out perfect.

The perfect microwave veggie burger.. start with a Boca Cheeseburger, place it frozen on a paper plate in the microwave for 1:45 left in the bag to steam. Take out and set aside, then place several slices of onions in microwave with some butter for about 1:00 to saute. Once the onions are soft place the burger topped with the onions and a slice of cheddar on a whole wheat bun and microwave for 12 to 15 seconds… use the condimenst of choice. Sometimes I add hickory liquid smoke for an outdoor grilling taste or hit it with a torch to brown the outside of the burger.
The perfect meal in 4 minutes…
