Mandela Day: A 46664 Celebration Concert

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, First Lady of France and wife of Nicolas Sarkozy, enjoyed vegan fare from Candle Cafe at an event intended to honor her for her work with Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Carla was accompanied by her husband and Jordan’s Queen Rania.

The party was hosted by Peter Chernin and Tom Freston along with his wife, author Kathy Freston, who happens to be vegan.

Other guests included Brian Grazer, Charlie Rose, Christy Turlington and Howard Schultz

Carla is already fur-free, as she announced this several months ago.

Will the delish vegan food from Candle Cafe make her want to go meat-free as well?

  1. Alise Says:

Carla may never go full veg, but I think she would be open to reducing her meat intake several times a week, for the planet and to promote good health.

She truly has a celebrity spirit about her, a hipness that is appealing to all, and could be a good voice for more environmentally conscious eating for France.
