Pamela Anderson Richie Rich “A*Muse”: New Zealand Fashion Week
Written by Vegetarian Star on September 12th, 2009 in Actresses, Fashion.
Pamela Anderson will debut her animal and eco friendly clothing line, A*Muse, during New Zealand Fashion Week, September 22-25.
The designs she collaborated with Richie Rich were originally set to debut at New York’s Fashion Week from September 10-17, but Pamela set her sights on New Zealand for its green reputation.
Rich, who designed the Heatherette label, explained in more detail.
“Pamela is such an advocate for Peta [People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals],” Rich said. “I love animals. We wanted to produce a range using as many globally friendly fabrics as we could, in the spirit of being good to the world. That is part of the reason we want to kick it off in New Zealand, which is so lush and green. It goes with the vibe we are feeling. At the same time the Kiwi scene is fun and the line is fun.”
Rich originally admitted it was hard for him not to use fur in the collection.
Hopefully, with the guidance of Pamela, Rich now sees how easy it is to be chic and caring.

At this time there are puppies and kittens skinned ALIVE at fur farms in China.
Yes, it’s true, don’t even wonder about it.
PETA has a video, but I suggest you just take my word on it and please write to their embassy in DC, telling them it needs to stop.
It’s cruel and it’s time the fashion world becomes more responsible.
While Basso struts the runways, animals suffer in cages until they are skinned. NO ONE should support fur, not this day in age.
Good going Pamela!

Filmfeline,
maybe we shouldn’t support fur, but we should make sure that we are fully informed before writing to an embassy. We should check our facts constantly, and ask questions about what we are told.
To say “I suggest you just take my word on it” sounds suspicious to me.
I would prefer that you tell us where we can see the video, what proof there is that it is part of the fur industry and comes from a legal factory in China before I write to anyone.
If I remember correctly Pamela has some connection to a steak house? Loves to wear sheep fur boots, etc…
“Good going Pamela” you have great publicity stunts.

Hey Charlie, you should do your research.
Pamela stopped wearing her Uggs when she found out they were animal.
Also, she launched the opening of the strip club inside the steakhouse…And if you know Pamela you know she’s definitely for nakedness….:)

Charlie, I agree about the proof. We definitely need to see some before writing to anyone. Plus, human rights may be pretty high on the China-writing-campaign list.
BUT, that aside, I love that Pam Anderson has a line out. I think it’s hilarious and awesome. Read my blog post about it if you ever get a chance- eco-friendly-promos.com
