Leona Lewis Wants Affordable Vegan Fashion
Written by Vegetarian Star on November 24th, 2008 in Fashion, Female Musicians, Female Singers.
Clothing is expensive enough. When you throw in designer labels and aim to be cruelty-free the price jumps so much, it makes you want to take a sewing class and make your own.
Leona Lewis wants to change that and expressed her desire to do so to Sunday Express’ S.
“I love Stella McCartney – but her clothes are very expensive,” Lewis said of the eco-friendly fashion designer. “I think people need a more affordable option.”
“I’m trying to find the right companies to work with, sourcing different things and talking to creative teams.”
“I would love to promote an affordable line of non-leather bags and shoes.”

I definitely think more affordability is needed in the vegan shoe world, as well, so I wish her luck!
I really love the shoes that I found @ http://www.neuaurashoes.com
The Esperanza style from NEUAURA really captures the Victorian era styling but with a modern twist. Very beautiful!

I agree!
A great, affordable vegan site that I’d love to suggest is http://www.vegetarianshoesandbags.com/
Not only do they have great looking shoes, they also have great looking handbags and boots!
AND one more reason to check them out is that they are running a free Shoes for a Year sweepstakes, good now through December 5.
The lucky winner gets a free pair of shoes every month for all of 2009. Entries are made each time a purchase is made, however no purchase is necessary. Anyone can go to the site to enter ONCE at http://www.vegetarianshoesandbags.com/vegansweepstakes/freeshoesforayear.aspx . They won’t accept duplicate entries at this address, however.

[…] Leona, a strict vegetarian since she was 12 years old, refuses to even wear animal products, such as fur and leather shoes. She’s so passionate about this, she’s talking with various suppliers to design her own line of vegan shoes and bags. […]
