The October 2008 issue of Vegetarian Times features a short Q&A session with Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla with writer Gabrielle Harradine. Check your mail, it’s probably there already. Anyway, there is a site called Cooking With Rock Stars, which features, you guessed it, musicians and their favorite recipes. Chris Walla has his “Peanut Butter Veggie Sausage Toast,” recipe posted. In the interview with Harradine, he said:

“It sounds wrong, but it’s really good! Ideally, you use Lightlife Gimme Lean Sausage and Sourdough bread: Toast a slice of bread and spread peanut butter on it; then grill the sausage in your favorite oil, halve them lengthwise, salt to taste, and place them on the toasted bread.”

This sounds almost as bad as RZA’s veggie patty between waffles. But we have to trust Chris on this one. If anyone tries this out, please let us know!
