Facebook Has Too Much Food–Even The Vegetarian Kind

Facebook has been praised as one of the top tech companies to work for by several critics.
It has to be one of the best work environments for vegetarians. The late director of Food Operators and former Google chef Josef Desimone once referred to himself as the “Santa Claus with knives,” as he was able to provide so many options to the employees under his leadership.
With a selection of organic, natural and plant-based options that includes morning vegan waffles for anyone, what could a person at Facebook possibly have to complain about?
The food of course!
Too much of it.
An article gives the insider details on what employees really think of the company. Apparently, the overabudance of food ranks right up there with people at parties complaining to them about Facebook.
One employee had this to say:
“What’s wrong with good food? Well, here’s what’s wrong: there’s too much of it. Three meals a day. Free. Cooked by award-winning chefs. And too many choices: salads, entrees, desserts, vegetarian food, soups, whole grains, usually a second dessert, organic stuff, barbeque, ice cream, fresh-squeezed orange juice. For someone like me with zero gastronomic self-control, this supposed “benefit” or “perk” is a complete disaster. Why doesn’t the FDA step in?”
