Martha Stewart Southwestern Nash And Black Rice Stir Fry
Written by Vegetarian Star on April 3rd, 2013 in Food & Drink, Recipes.
Martha Stewart has never been simple when it comes to the kitchen.
The domestic diva can turn a plain block of tofu into french fries or create a veggie pizza from the most unlikely of vegetables like asparagus.
Traditional stir-fries have always been associated with items like tofu, peppers and onions, but Martha has spiced up both this and ordinary hashbrowns in her latest cookbook, Meatless.
Not only does the stir fry’s Black Rice, also known as “purple” or “forbidden rice” provide a change from regular brown or rice, but the Japanese eggplant is an additional opportunity for you to learn a new vegetable during your next shopping trip. And if you choose this dish for breakfast as well, the spicy Sriracha sauce is sure to wake up your taste buds in the morning.
Another option for the morning or any meal is Stewart’s Southwestern Nash, with a hearty combination of black bean and tempeh veggie protein to accompany red potatoes, tomatoes and avocado.
Go Meatless during your next meal with one of Martha’s recipes.
