“Food Network” Advice For Stocking The Vegan Or Vegetarian Pantry

Making the decision to go veg?
Sure you already know it’s easy to get protein and you probably have already figured out strong bones and all the benefits of dairy aren’t coming from a cow.
But when you grow tired of eating veggie take-out or delivery and ready to cook your own meals, do you know what to look for at the grocer?
The Food Network blog may have a few bits of advice for you to follow.
“I always say a healthy diet starts in the grocery store, where you get to choose the foods that will feed you and your family,” writes the blogger. “If you don’t have nutritious foods that can be combined to make a well-balanced meal, you may find it easier to order pizza delivery or grab takeout on the way home from work. Having a well-stocked kitchen means you can get creative in the kitchen, even if you haven’t been to the grocery store recently.”
In a post titled, “How to Stock a Vegetarian or Vegan Kitchen,” the blogger covers all the essentials you’ll need from the vegetarian food groups: whole grains, canned or dried beans, frozen produce and oils, spices and condiments.
There’s one last category labeled “other” that involves “creativity,” and “Googling.”
