St. Patrick’s Day Vegan Friendly Beers

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day vegan style this year and opt for a truly animal-free beer!
Many vegetarians and vegans have heard of isinglass, a common ingredient derived from fish bladder used in the clarification process for beers. But lagers may have other animal products not even listed on the bottle, such as gelatin, casein and dyes from insects, to name a few.
Care2 has compiled its list of vegan alcoholic beverages to celebrate like a hippie leprechaun.
Made in the U.S.A. and winner of the 2010 World Beer Championship Rogue Brewery’s Irish Lager tops the list.
The Oregon-based company’s drink is described by The Kitchn as ” lot of sweet and juicy fruit flavors – apricot and orange, especially” and compares the experience to biting into a Granny Smith apple.
It’s recommended as a beverage to accompany traditional Irish corned beef and potatoes.
May Vegetarian Star suggest you make the vegan seitan version for your weekend celebration?
