Meg Mathews Donates Venom Proceeds To PETA
Written by Vegetarian Star on February 22nd, 2013 in Animal Issues, Fashion.
Meg Mathews made the year 2013 as the one to dump all animal products from her diet.
Now she’s working with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to encourage jewelry-loving fashion followers to do the same and discard animal skins from their closets.
She’s donated all the proceeds from her snake-themed jewelry collection Venom to the animal rights group.
“I have always been inspired by the beauty and exotic nature of snakes, but when I learned how these animals suffer when they are skinned for nothing more than a bag or belt, it gave me the creeps and I could never wear them again,” said Mathews.
“I am proud that every purchase of a Venom item will help PETA fight the abuse of snakes and other animals, people often do not understand and so misuse.”
Until the end of this month, you can enter to win the Venom necklace.
