“The Epicurious Cookbook” Veggie Friendly Like The Site

One of the biggest websites for recipes, Epicurious.com, has published a cookbook.
The Epicurious Cookbook: More Than 250 of Our Best-Loved Four-Fork Recipes for Weeknights, Weekends & Special Occasions is presented by Tanya Steel and the editors of Epicurious and includes both vegetarian and vegan recipes.
Such meatless entrees in the “Please Everyone Vegetarian and Vegan Dishes” include Chilled Soba with Tofu and Sugar Snap Peas, Spiced Lentil Tacos with Chipotle Sour Cream, Roasted Eggplant Salad.
The majority of recipes on Epicurious.com are from home chefs; a few are created by professionals.
But if sauteeing tofu with sesame oil scares you because you’re not the best at technique, relax. The Epicurious editors have ensured all recipes have been tested at least twice.
“Sometimes we changed them a little bit and sometimes we barely changed them,” Epicurious Editor-in-Chief Tanya Steel said. “When we were selecting, it was the essence of the recipe and the concept. The testing also ensured consistency in the recipes. “We don’t expect people to know how to write a recipe,” Steel said. “We did fill in some of the blanks.”
Available from Clarkson Potter as of last week, at roughly $27, The Epicurious Cookbook makes a nice gift idea for the holiday season or anytime.
