Like mother, like daughter?
Former White House chef Walter Scheib says both Chelsea Clinton and Hillary Clinton were big fans of his garlic hummus. Scheib had to keep this chickpea spread fresh in the kitchen at all times and often sent it with the Clintons on trips away from Pennsylvania Ave.
The Clintons’ favorite hummus is kicked up a notch on the spice scale with Harissa Paste–a spread of hot peppers, including red chili and/or serrano.
You may purchase the paste at ethnic specialty stores or make your own.
Both mother and daughter Clinton are both health conscious eaters, Chelsea turning vegetarian at a young age while living in the White House with her parents.
