White House “Healthy Lunchtime Cookbook” Available For Download

The Healthy Lunchtime Cookbook, a collection of recipes from 54 children who participated in the First Lady’s contest to create entrees from fresh, wholesome, unprocessed ingredients for a chance to sit at the very first kids White House State dinner, is now available for download.
After winners were chosen from a pool of over 1,200 applicants, a winner from each state was chosen to attend the August event.
Many vegetarian and vegan recipes are included in this free, pdf file, including Quinoa, Black Bean and Corn Salad; Sizzling Tofu with Green Onions, Sugars and Snap Peas; Vegan Sloppy Joes and Kale Salad; Lentil Veggie Soup; Falafel Wrap and more.
