Morrissey PETA Ad Puts Cat On Vegetarian Musician’s Mind

Being the accomplished singer he is, Morrissey probably has a lot on his mind these days. That doesn’t mean he won’t take the time to think about all the homeless cats and dogs in the world and remind animal lovers that the best way to control the unwanted pet population is by spaying and neutering.
“Despite the fact that they’re incredibly intelligent, animals unfortunately haven’t yet worked out how to slip on a rubber, which is why thousands of them are being put to sleep in overcrowded shelters and thousands more are desperately waiting to be adopted,” the British singer said.
He’s posing in an ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that reads, “Homeless Animals on Your Mind? Spay and Neuter Today.”
Helping him promote the message is one lucky gray and white cat who not only has a home but also a spot in the media with one of the most vocal vegetarian and animal rights activists in the celebrity world.
“Letting cats or dogs have litters is tantamount to shooting shelter animals in the head since it kills their chances of adoption. Please do the right thing and spay or neuter your animals,” Morrissey said.
