7-Eleven Stores Offer Vegan Meals To Go With Slurpee

Written by Vegetarian Star on December 2nd, 2010 in Business, Food & Drink.

You and your vegan sweetie may soon be enjoying a romantic meal from 7-Eleven.

Okay, so maybe in reality you’ll save the convenience store’s menu for those times after work when you know you’re going home to nice spot in the basement with a mini-fridge and microwave because the wife has kicked you out the house–again.

At any rate, select 7-Eleven stores in New York City are offering several vegan items in a trial run to see how many granola lovers like yourself think Slurpee goes well with tofu. Actually, the items will include Pad Thai noodles, vegetable lo mein, Shanghai dumplings, artichoke spinach noodles, and Hunan dumplings. All vegan.

If the test reveals New Yorkers want more, you may even see a tofu pup in the machine in the future.

Below are the locations where vegan items will be available:

* East 23rd Street and Park Ave. New York NY 10010
* Between E82 and E83 on 3rd Avenue New York NY 10028
* Between E84 and E85 on York Avenue New York NY 10028
* Between 8th and 9th Ave., on W42nd New York NY 10036
* Between W14 and W15 on Ave. of the Americas New York NY 10011-7302
* Between W92 and W93 on Amsterdam Avenue New York NY 10025-7426

    I live near LA and there was one 7-11 with a lot of vegan food items, sandwiches and the like, not asian food. but they stopped. never seen it anywhere else, but the guy said its an option for 7-11s to order.

    I live in Brooklyn and I would definitely buy from 7-11 if they had vegan food here when I’m on my way to work.

    I work on 42nd Street, a block from 7-11. I will totally check it out! I love to support the test runs of vegan products. And the area really is lacking affordable lunches, now that Better Burger is gone.
