Weezer Drinks Soy Milk On Tour, Not In Styrofoam Cups

Weezer is a largely vegetarian and vegan band, so you know the tour rider will be full of requests for good stuff.
The Smoking Gun was able to obtain a copy of the food requests while on tour. Lunch should always offer a “vegan alternative,” and suggestions such as a “vegetarian type soup,” or “vegetarian chili,” and veggie versions of hot dogs, hamburgers and other meat entrees are made.
The boys are attempting to make things eco-friendly, as the demand, “NO STYROFOAM ANYWHERE,” was printed in CAPS. But one team of students at University of California San Diego found that paper cups actually require more energy and more materials to make, release more emissions into the atmosphere and use more waste. Oh, Say It Ain’t So!
It’s worth noting the study was sponsored by the Polystyrene Packaging Council, even if it was “peer reviewed.” And foam still takes thousands and thousands of years to degrade. At least the decision to buy your disposable plates and bowls is no-brainer, as items like Earth Shell’s dishware made from potatoes and other vegetables will degrade if you leave your soup in them for too many hours (this result seen from an unintended, non-scientific experiment done by the writer)!
Organic fruit is a must on Weezer’s tour list, as well as whole grain bread, which would preferably be Ezekial 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Bread. A good choice to spread the also requested Natural Almond Butter on and wash down with the quart of plain soy milk.
A runner is instructed to have a handful of take-out menus available from vegetarian friendly restaurants by 2PM daily and recommended cuisine includes Indian, Thai, Health Food and Japanese.
