Mike Love Of Beach Boys Gives Love To Almost Vegetarian Diet

Mike Love, one of the founding members of the Beach Boys and the only original member that still tours under the band’s name, is getting “Good Vibrations” from a diet mostly without animal products.
Love has cut out all red meat and chicken from his plate.
“I’m 90 per cent vegetarian,” Love said. “I favor vegetables and stuff like that.”
Love has found it’s a lot easier to entertain the crowds like you’re still in your 20s or 30s when you’re putting the right things in your body.
“You have to live a sensible life and exercise here and there.”
He and the Beach Boys play an average of 150 concerts a year, so his plan must be working.
That doesn’t mean it’s all veggie wraps and applesauce for dessert, though, as ice cream is still his weakness.
“I will succumb to an ice-cream shake,” he said. “A Cold Stone Creamery coffee shake. I have a hard time passing that up.”
Can’t wait for the day Love is singing “All I Wanna Do” is eat an soy ice cream shake.
