Adam Lambert Snakeskin Boots Not Idolized By Animal Lovers
Written by Vegetarian Star on May 14th, 2009 in Fashion, Male Singers, Not So Vegetarian.
The final two American Idol contestants, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, have been chosen to duel it out onstage next week in front of millions of viewers. Sorry Danny Gokey fans, if you taped the show and haven’t watched it yet.
While we love our Idol contestants and are cheering for both, it’s necessary to call one singer out for his choice of clothing.
Lambert wore snakeskin boots during his recent public appearances (look at the feet, click on the pointy arrow so the small pics aren’t covering them up) including the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California.
While he may have chosen the right songs every week, according to Simon Cowell, Lambert definitely chose the wrong shoes that day.
Whether it was leather with snakeskin print or real snakeskin hide, neither combination is worth idolizing.
And Lambert didn’t mention anything about the boots being faux, so we can only assume, unfortunately, it’s the real deal.
Just hoping his guyliner comes from a company that doesn’t test on animals.
Maybe Adam will follow the lead of other Idol contestants like Carrie Underwood and go veg, lose the boots, and gain an understanding of the cruelty involved in using animals for clothing.
Until then, he’ll be in our bottom three for awhile.

so you are saying that the other two had on pleather shoes?
Or maybe satin?
Isn’t is a rush to judgement, without knowing all the fact, (which would be what the other contenders have on their feet) and then making an objective judgement?
And you “can only assume” the shoes are real?
Actually… no, you CAN do something other than assume.
You can gather more information before rushing to judgement silly.

I watched American Idol last night and it was Adam who specifically said he had snakeskin boots on and showed them to the camera. The other candidates didn’t talk about their shoes, that’s probably why nothing was said about the other two.
If all three guys had held their shoes to the camera, then maybe there would be a big discussion about it.
But if you’re going to say you have snakeskin boots on, if you care about what people think, you would probably say they were fake-which he didn’t.

katvignati,
Let’s not forget this is a celebrity gossip site. While most things can be sourced back to the link these guys provide, sometimes you make assumptions on these type of sites.
And yeah, only his shoes were focused on on that episode of American Idol.
Trust me, accusing a man of wearing snakeskin boots is a lot less cruel that what some other gossip sites do to stars.
A better way to write it next time guys is to ask us if they look real or not-pose a question versus just accusing.

He’s a joke. He screams gimmick with his hair cut and eyeliner. The show is ridiculous.

why bother? snakes are lethal, so using their skin for belts, shoulder bags, boots are just ok for people to get even, meh! 🙂

Why bother? Because snakes are skinned alive for their pelts-an extremely cruel way to kill any animal, regardless of its danger.
All creatures have the ability to be lethal in order to protect themselves from predators that encroach on their territory.
Not all snakes are poisonous, but all deserve a fairly unmolested life without interference from human predators that disrupt both their populations and the ecosystem in general by killing them for something as trivial as fashion.

Dear fan who calls yourself Adam Lambert,
It is bad enough that you are pathetic enough to think that killing snakes should be allowed just because snakes can be lethal. Firstly, it would be wise of you to know that not all snakes are lethal before you go around spouting your mouth about some non factual conclusion you have come up with yourself. Secondly, snakes only really attack when they are provoked. Humans who get killed by snakes usually bring it on to themselves. This is the way snakes were made. When someone strikes them, they strike back. Same as humans. Thirdly, you wish to hurt something which has no idea that what it is doing is wrong. Killing a voiceless animal. This shows the unjustness of humans. Fourthly, you say it’s a way of ‘getting back’. Didn’t your mama tell you that revenge is a no- no. When someone slaps you on one cheek give them the other and all that? And finally, it’s bad enough you write such a flippant, shallow, thoughtless comment. You also have to use Adam’s name. Unless you’re name is Adam Lambert as well or you really are THE Adam Lambert (both of which I seriously doubt), I strongly suggest you not post such controversial posts under his name.
In regards to this post, I sincerely hope Adam is using fake leather and snakeskin. Although I doubt it. So I pray he changes his choice of shoes. (Anything looks good on you Adam, only snakeskin looks good on snakes.)
