"Movies Rock" A Celebration Of Music In Film - After Party

Christopher Jarecki, rock musician and husband of Alicia Silverstone, is normally a pretty well behaved man.

But every once in awhile he gets “naughty.”

When asked if her husband was also vegan, Silverstone replied, “He’s a vegan who flirts with fish. Sometimes he gets naughty and has a little fish here or there.”

But the most important question is: How does Alicia punish Christopher for being bad?

Are you guilty of being naughty in your diet?

Woody Harrelson exits the Late Show with David Lettermen at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City

“I chose to be vegan initially as an energetic pursuit, as meat and dairy slowed me down, but have since become convinced that it is not only the most healthy way to live, but also the most compassionate and ecologically responsible way.”

Woody Harrelson, a World Go Vegan Week supporter.

World Go Vegan Week is celebrating it’s 4th annual holiday this year from October 25-31. The week is meant to encourage others to engage in a sustainable healthy lifestyle and incorporate vegan principles into their living.

Although some vegetarian celebrities have reported difficulty finding food in some countries, Propagandhi front man Chris Hannah says the exact opposite has been true for his traveling abroad experiences.

“The staple foods in most cultures are plant-based and then they add animal products on top of that, so I’ve never had trouble. If you’re not the type of person that defaults to processed junk food, if you enjoy and eat fresh fruit and vegetables, they’re everywhere on the planet. Outside of the extremes of Antarctica and the Arctic, there’s something to eat.”

And now with cool veggie technology like the iphone application VegOut, it’s never been easier to find the restaurant that serves what you’re looking for.

There may even be a tofu stand in Antarctica somewhere.

The best part about Twitter is getting to update about the good grub you’ve devoured.

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter, recently did this about a homemade meal his wife cooked.

“Wow, @Livia just took her homemade vegan lasagna out of the oven — I’m hungry!”

Here’s the finished product.

This puzzle us, because last time we checked, Biz was a vegan.

Is that soy cheese on the lasagna?

Boy George at Maya Nightclub

We already knew Boy George made all the vegetarian food in prison during his stint he served for false imprisonment and assault of a male escort.

Maybe that’s why they were so nice to him.

“You get a lot of attention when you first go in, especially if you’re Boy George,” George said. “But, in a funny sort of way, people were actually quite sweet; people would come up to me and say, ‘Do you need a tooth brush, a mirror?’ There’s some nice people in prison!”

There were even some people paying homage to the Culture Club king, who’s real name is George O’Dowd.

“When you walk in, you’ve got the balconies, the safety nets, people shouting Karma Chameleon, banging things.”

“You think, ‘How am I going to make this work for me?’ I got a job in the kitchen, made the vegetarian food. The more you do that, the quicker it (the sentence) goes. They probably thought I was going to be a complete nightmare.”

If you’re heading to prison anytime soon, ask the judge to send you to one of the top 10 vegetarian friendly prisons.

Otherwise, you might end up in the kitchen like Boy George cooking for yourself.

Alicia Silverstone's "The Kind Diet" Book Release Party

It’s been awhile since we brought you some good old fashioned food voyeurism.

Since Alicia Silverstone has debuted as a cookbook author, now may be the best time to show you how she eats when visiting New York City.

Alicia  gave all the delicious details to grubstreet.com.

Here are a few highlights so you can take note for your next road trip.

Wednesday, October 7
“I came in on Tuesday and brought food on the airplane. So in the morning I ate the leftovers from my plane ride: a kabocha squash and couscous dish, an M chopped salad with ranch dressing and wasabi sweet potatoes — all from M Café, this amazing restaurant in L.A. When I fly I often grab it to go. I had a little refrigerator in my room, so when I got there I asked them to clean out the minibar and I put my leftovers in there.”

Thursday, October 8
“I brought some miso paste with me. I always bring it when I travel. So I just took a little piece of miso paste and put it in some hot water, and that was my morning miso soup.”

“For lunch I went to Gobo and I had white bean, vegetable, and kabocha squash soup, and I had sun-dried tomato and swiss chard rice-pasta lasagna that was unbelievably delicious. It was lasagna, but they use rice pasta instead of white flour. And I had radicchio salad with chicken and raisins and pine nuts. It wasn’t chicken, but it was fried — yummy, whatever it was. I went by myself.”

Blink-182 For T-Mobile

Travis Barker interviewed with Radio Big Boy where confirmed our suspicions that he’s back to eating vegetarian since he quit the diet briefly after a plane crash last year.

Travis has also been toying with veganism, citing the facts he’s learned about the dairy industry as his motivation.

Plus, he’s recruited dear ol’ dad in the game.

RBB: You off of meat again, Travis?

Travis: I’m almost full blown vegan now.

RBB: Cause you were vegan before the accident.

Travis: I was vegetarian. I’ve pretty much cut out dairy as well.

RBB (joking): I was just about to offer you a glass of milk.

Travis: Once you find out all the crazy stuff with dairy, you’d probably second guess it too, man. My pops, he’s a Vietman Vet, hard core, old school-he used to make fun of me cause I didn’t eat meat…Now after being on tour and going to some of the spots, he’s at home trying to find vegan spots in that area.

To hear the entire interview, including Travis’ thoughts on the death of his friend DJ AM, visit Radiobigboy.com.

The vegan conversation starts at Part 3.
