The Discovery Channel is taking its green programming theme one step further by adding a series about the adventures of a vegan baker who’s satisfied sweet teeth of the stars.
Animal Planet will air Sweet Avenger, a 12 episode series about Danielle Konya, the owner of Vegan Treats, a vegan bakery in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Steve-O has been living quite a docile life compared to the one he led years ago during his Jackass stunts by day and drugs and alcohol fueled stunts by night era.
Steve, who’s real name is Stephen Glover, has written a tale of the accounts before he was forced into rehab–a decision that probably saved his life.

The New York Times has written an article on the soaring popularity of veggie burgers, for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans.
The article cites a study done by market research company Mintel, which found there was a 26% increase in items labeled “vegetarian” or “vegan” between 2008 and 2010.
The veggie burger used to be the item on the menu that everyone–even vegetarians–hated. It was either a stereotyped mush of carrots, rice and oatmeal or a sinewy textured soy patty that offered no taste.
Much has changed at both gourmet restaurants and fast food chains.

The lone and lovely female judge of America’s Next Great Restaurant, Lorena Garcia, is making vegetarians who fly from the Miami International Airport a little happier and less hungrier.
Garcia, a former lawyer now turned celebrity chef, opened a restaurant in the Concourse D area of the airport that serves a variety of vegetarian-friendly options, including a veggie burger that’s doing great.
Garcia spoke to NBC Miami about her new venture, Cocina, which features mouth watering dishes like the Roasted Portabello, a sliced portobello with caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and pesto sauce on ciabatta bread.
Freston helps one family make the gradual transition of adding more vegan meals into its diet to combat some health problems like high cholesterol.
This is a family that professes to eat meat every day and they’re completely open to the idea with one caveat: dad hopes his beer doesn’t get taken away.
