The mama of moose meat munching has hired a strict vegetarian to be her right hand man in politics.
Sarah Palin has announced that Michael Glassner will serve as chief of staff, a move some say proves she’s a step closer to declaring herself a 2012 presidential candidate.
“Former colleagues describe him as a detail-oriented, fiercely loyal person who “takes great pride in flying under the radar.” They also say he is a “fitness nut” and, along with his wife, a dedicated vegetarian.”

Stephen Colbert took time to congratulate anti-whaling activists and all of those associated with Sea Shepherd after the recent announcement that Japanese whalers have suspended the annual hunt in the Antarctic due to so much interference by activists.
As he wags his finger at “environmentalist blubber huggers,” Colbert understands why whales would be targeted.
After all, they’ve “swallowed our biblical prophets,” like Jonah, “boy puppets” like Pinocchio and taken”prime sunbathing spots at the beach.”
It’s a shame, because the whalers were only killing them for research purposes, such as finding out what “teriyaki blowhole tastes like.”
The suspension, in addition to the reduced numbers of whales being brought back every year as a result of the Paul Watson lead organization’s tactics, is another sign that Sea Shepherd is accomplishing its mission.
“There’s this expectation that men should eat like a man and that women should serve men meat, should give him what he wants. There’s this conception that vegetarianism was okay for women and those associated with women. Homophobia is connected to meat-centered definitions of maleness. The idea that men should eat meat is rampant in our culture. Being taught to believe a diet like that is good for them. I hate to break it to you. But meat eating can cause [impotence] when you get older. This is not healthy. Men are not benefiting form the sexual politics of meat.”
