Two different vegans are representing some very good causes this fall. Emily Deschanel just gave her approval of World Go Vegan Week, which begins on October 24th and is mean to celebrate how a completely plant-based diet improves conditions for humans, the planet and animals.

Ellen DeGeneres is the spokesperson for Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt-A-Turkey event, which raises money for rescued turkeys at the sanctuary.

Joanne Rose appeared as a guest on The Jazzy Vegetarian‘s vegan radio show to discuss her web video series, “Vegan 101,” which launched the first episode as a humorous take on vegans dating, “Dating a Vegan.”

Rose has a new ecookbook out, Living In Harmony, which is a gluten-free, vegan recipe book available on the internet, at Veganvision.net.

“It’s makes it more green and easy for everybody to have access to,” Rose said.

Rose shared her recipe for Coconut Yogurt, which uses a Thai coconut, probiotic and flavors to suit your taste like fruit or chocolate.  Listen to the radio show to hear Rose discuss how to make it.

Bobby Flay Puts Vegetarian Dish On Bar Americain Restaurant Menu

Bobby Flay is hesitant to put veggie burgers on the menus of his restaurants because he feels he doesn’t know how to prepare them to be palatable. However, keeping his word that he is “sensitive to vegetarian needs,” Flay will be adding a vegetarian dish to the menu at Bar Americain Mohegan Sun in Uncassville, CT. And no, the dish isn’t just steamed broccoli.

Jillian Michaels has been chosen to promote vegan So Delicious Coconut Milk Beverage produced by Turtle Mountain, the maker of So Delicious Dairy-Free products. Michaels will be featured in a campaign, “Change Your Milk. Change Your Life,” that will go live nationwide in January 2011.
