Pamela Anderson is back from New Zealand for a breather just before she heads to Miami for Funkshion Fashion Week Miami 2009.
The event takes place Wednesday October 14 through Saturday October 17.
She and Richie Rich will be presenting A*Muse, the eco-friendly fashion line she and Rich created on Wednesday, October 14.
After presenting A*Muse, Pamela and Dan Matthews, senior vice-president for PETA, will host a vegetarian charity dinner at the W Hotel, benefiting PETA.
Other highlights of Funkshion Miami Fashion Week include The Red Dress Fashion Show, which benefits the American Heart Association and Go Red For Women, which educates women about heart disease.
Red dresses from designers like Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Nicole Miller, Richie Rich, and Badgley Mishka will be displayed, along with a red swimwear line by Jantzen.
Hey, this is Miami you know. The bikinis are more in demand than the A-line skirts.
Miranda Kerr has launched a line of 100% organic skin care products.
The range, Kora, is named after a type of meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. It is currently only available in the Australian department store David Jones, where Miranda is the Brand Ambassador.
Organic ingredients are exciting, but has Miranda run the entire ethical gamut and ensured her products are animal free with none of the ingredients being tested on animals?
Earlier this year, Miranda helped launch Victoria Secret’s PINK-a collection of animal-friendly vegan products with natural ingredients like soy milk.
We hope Miranda’s own launch is just as cruelty-free.
The event will take place on Sunday October 11 from 7:30 PM-8:30PM at the Kaufmann Concert Hall (as put on by the 92nd Street “Y”) – Lexington Avenue at 92nd Street.
Jane’s book, iWant follows the host of HLN’s Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell as she journeys from addiction to empowerment, adopts a vegan lifestyle and devotes her life to animal welfare.
She has even devoted an entire chapter to this in iWant titled “Veganism/Animal Activism: I Want to Make a Difference.”
Velez-Mitchell often uses Issues as a platform to cover stories on animal cruelty and frequently has activist as guests.

“I created a website called TheKindLife.com to get people hooked on all my groovy latest finds—that will happen around the time of the book. I love Tammy Fender and Suki—those are my favorite skin care lines. Josie Maran lip gloss and eyeshadows [link]. Kiss My Face and Giovanni for shampoo. Desert Essence for conditioner—it smells so yummy! And Pharmacopia moisturizer. It’s all organic, except for a teeny bit of parabens. That’s my one naughty treat. I buy it like once a year. It’s smells so yummy! We have to all write to them so they’ll take the parabens out.”
Woody Harrelson doesn’t find pleasure in mac and cheese, warm cornbread, or any other traditional comfort food.
If the zombies invaded Hollywood much like they did in Zombieland, Woody would be headed for the produce section of the store, not the sweet aisle to find Twinkies like his Zombieland characterTallahassee.
“I’d be searching for a mango,” Woody told New York Times. “Or an avocado. It really is a tough call between the two.”
Avocado?
Maybe Woody should payJason Mraz a visit. He, Jason and Olivia Wilde could go crazy on the green fruit.
What’s your comfort food during hard or stressful times, zombies or no zombies peeking through your window?
Doctors found a lump in Melissa’s breast in 2004 and she sought chemo and radiation treatment, performing bald at a Janis Joplin tribute in 2005.
After Christina Applegate’s breast cancer was detected, she decided to remove both breasts and treated herself to a brand new pair of manufactured boobs after her surgeries.
As we’ve cited before, vegetarians tend to have lower death rates from cancer than meat eaters.

Moby arrived in Mexico City as part of his recent tour and said la comida is bueno!
“just arrived in mexico city. and just had tortillas y frijoles negros y guacamole. see, it’s easy to be vegan in mexico. well, as long as they don’t get crazy with the manteca.”
Yes, when in Mexico, pile on the heart healthy and fiber filled black beans on the tortillas with plenty of salsa and good for you fat avocado.
Just say “no, gracias” to the manteca, which is fat, many times lard in Mexican dishes.
